Great stay for Mayo Patients and MN. Guests
Lovely old hotel with a vintage quality yet clean, lively and the hosts are incredibly accommodating and kind! I would stay her for vacation or to visit the Mayo anytime. I highly recommend. The access to town, to the underground and every hospital in town is incredible.

Excellent choice when visiting Mayo Clinic
The Kahler is incredibly convenient when visiting the Mayo Clinic. Directly across the street from the Clinic, it is also connected by a very pleasant, easy-to-access underground tunnel (which they call a "subway.") The people at the hotel are exceedingly friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean, with many lovely updated rooms. For visiting the Mayo Clinic, I can think of none better.

I loved the Kahler Grand!!!
I was there for 30 days so I really got a good feel for it. If you like places that are charming with character, this is the hotel for you! It's not ultra modern like some hotels. It's more historical and rich. You are not a number there (unless you want to be) in that the staff treats you as a real person, unlike many of the chain hotels. The staff was phenomenal and worked hard to make sure our needs were being met. They seem to take a great deal of pride in their work. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming yet professional and respectful of my situation. No one asked me about my health condition, yet they were attentive and empathetic during times that I wanted to talk about it like Karen genuinely being excited with me, or David providing depth and insight when I needed it, and Shawn being patient when I was high strung and annoying! If you prefer to keep to yourself, your boundaries would always be respected, just like if you prefer to interact. I watched as the staff adapted to meet the individual needs of all of the guests. I'd also like to give a shout out to Bobby for keeping me stocked with towels and soap because he noticed that I hardly ever used Housekeeping in my rooms. Thirty days is a long time to be in a hotel and it provided me with unique insight in the various divisions within the hotel, from management styles to the end result which is providing their guests with the type of hotel experience that will meet their needs.

Very helpful staff throughout the Kahler! We ate at all three of your restaurants: Lord Essex was outstanding-delicious food, beautiful presentation, service was excellent! Our Martini bar drinks were prepared exactly as requested, food was hot and delicious, served with a smile-some really competent bartenders there!The Buffet breakfast met our "in a hurry" needs and was delicious. Thank you so much...Great experience! Thank you. It was a great experience!
