I stayed at The Kahler Grand Hotel, when I was at The Mayo Clinic recently. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, the staff and the room service. But mostly what stood out was how quiet it was. You did not hear doors slamming, water running, conversations, etc.and the grand hotel had all the charm that one would expect fromThe Kahler.

Pleased with our stay
Although some reviews I read made me concerned about the reservation I had made for us during my husband’s recent Mayo appointments, we were totally satisfied with our King bed room on the 8th floor. Mattress and bed was comfy, sheets very nice. Bathroom clean and shower was fine. There was a small separate counter for coffeemaker, microwave near the bathroom as well as alcove for suitcase and hanging clothes. TV and WI-FI good. We did bring an extension cord for my husband’s CPAP machine. We enjoyed the easy access to Mayo. Nice to be able to come and go and not wait for shuttle service. We parked in the Damon lot to save a few dollars on parking. It was easy to wheel our suitcases from the ramp through the clinic to the hotel. Oh, we ate in the cafe several times, good comfort food and the same delightful server each afternoon and evening. We also enjoyed a drink and snacks at Martini’s, the bartender was very attentive and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio. The plaza area is a great place to walk and people watch and I enjoyed exploring nearby shopping opportunities. I also had a wonderful massage at a small spa in the subway. We found staff attentive and enjoyed talking to the manager who asked after our needs.

You made it fun!
This was our first trip to Mayo. We were anxious. From the moment we walked in everyone made us feel comfortable. Kind, friendly and totally professional. Front desk suggested Martinis and Grand Grille. Rob at Martinis makes everyone like regulars. We so enjoyed talking to the people next to us and before we left we met a couple from Gulf Shores where we winter. Our whole stay made our Mayo experience enjoyable. We will be back several times over the next months. Thank you for being there for us! Are you looking to be treated like family? Are you looking to be treated like the most important customer? The Kahler Grand Hotel will do that and then some! The staff takes the time to treat you like family, and no request is too large or too small. In a single week, they have restored my faith in the hospitality industry. Have a special request? Expect to have it addressed right away. Wish you had someone to talk to about your day? Want someone to listen? Kahler Grand Hotel exceeds expectations and takes the stress out of your Mayo Clinic visit. Myranda and Travis make you feel extra special. Money can't buy that kind of service!
